Family Relations Brother of Claude David (who married Suzanne de Noyon). Confirmed by his presence at nephew Michel's marriage contract in 1671. [3], [4], [5]
Confirmation August 10, 1659, in Quebec (Notre-Dame) by the Bishop of Petrea. (Note: This event marks the beginning of confirmations, as the bishop arrived in 1659.) [6]
Age at Confirmation 23 years old (indicating birth c. 1636). [6]

II. Marriage, Settlement, and Migration

Early Land Grant Once held a concession around Trois-Rivières (prior to 1683). Notary Ameau (1683)
Quebec Settlement Received a concession from the Jesuits at Sillery (St-Ignace road) in April 1663. Family had been in the Quebec region since at least November 1659. Concession document
Census Cannot be found on the censuses of 1666 and 1667.
1668 Residence Found in the seigneury of Autray (across from Sorel) in the 1668 census. Resident of Dombourg (modern-day Neuville) in August 1668. [7], [8], [12], [13]
Later Land Grant Some sources suggest Guillaume obtained a concession in Sorel around 1674, but no document has been found.
Migration to New York Jetté states the family migrated to New Holland (New York) around 1677 (after daughter Marie Angélique's baptism in March 1678). [3:2]
Trip to New York A 1678 letter states Guillaume and his son-in-law Pierre Montross were in New York in 1676 visiting "their wives’ relatives." [9]

(Note: Some websites attribute two other children, boys born c. 1672 and 1675, who married in New England.)
