• Relationship between Guillaume and Jacques David: There is definitive proof Guillaume was the brother of Claude David. There is no definitive proof he was the brother of Jacques David, despite their neighboring status in the 1668 enumeration.
• Relationship between Marie and Laurent Armand: It is plausible that Guillaume arrived with his brothers Claude and Jacques, and his brother-in-law Laurent Armand. However, there is no proof Marie was related to Laurent Armand; Laurent and his wife were not godparents to Guillaume and Marie's children.
• Dombourg Residence Error: The claim that Jacques David was also resident of Dombourg is likely an error, as he was resident of Château-Richer on the Beaupré coast, which is not close to Dombourg.
• Other Sources:
  • The Filles à Marier database attributes two additional sons to them.
  • Robert Bérubé’s blog, “Sleepy Hollow,” contains several sources and hypotheses about the family.
  • The website “Généalogie, ma passion/Obsessed with my past” attributes a birth date and parents to Marie Armand without proof, and its source links are noted as dead/hacked.
